Thickened Mince
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 tbsp flour
- Gravy browning
- 1 pt water
Method
- Brown meat, if there is a lot of fat drain it off.
- Remove from pan, brown onions in same pan
- Return meat to pan with onions.
- Dissolve flour and gravy browning in water. Add to pan
- Bring to the boil, then simmer, very gently for an hour or so.
- Add the mushrooms and simmer for another 30 mins
- If it doesn’t look thick enough, add a little more flour and cook for another 15 mins.
